The September 2010 Mastering Experience “A long time ago. Back before we were even finished recording some of the songs that were selected for 1 0 | 0 1 it was decided that we would master this album, regardles of whether or not we thought that it "needed" it. The whole point was just to see what kind of audible difference mastering would make. The problem that we ran into with having it mastered was that it was such a hands-off process. And we didn't just want to mail the mixes to some mastering engineer lady whose only credential was that she is from Los Angeles. To be honest, we really wanted to keep it as local as we could but the only guy in town that I had ever heard of had just packed up and moved on. Then one day our friend, Heather, showed up and said, "my brother is a mastering engineer." "Huh??!" And the rest will become history just as soon as we get it out there. Jacques Sewrey at Great Mix Recording (Milwaukee) is our guy! If anyone want's to talk about this experience any further, let me know. We can't seem to say enough good things about him! Dave”
